Network Edge's NE 1.0 is the platform's first official release and delivers a set of new features over its predecessor release NE Limited Availability Release. Details on the new features can be found below in Release Summary section.
1.1 High Availability for virtual devices
This release include the ability to configure high availability while adding virtual devices for increased redundancy. This feature allows users to survive many common problems on the network both planned and unplanned, especially when the traffic over the solution is considered mission critical or Enterprise grade.
1.2 High Availability for connections and devices
This feature offers configuring high availability on connections and services associated with High Availability virtual devices.
1.3 Additional internet Bandwidth
This feature includes the ability to configure additional internet bandwidth up-to 1000 Mbps (~1 Gbps) which provides users access to more throughput while connecting to the device from a remote location for backhauling or other needs where larger bandwidths are needed.
1.4 Term based pricing and billing
This release also enables term based pricing and billing for virtual device orders. While the default is a 1 month term, customers can opt for a 12, 24, 36, or 60 month billing term to align with their company's standards.
1.5 Trial Management
This feature allows for an easy transition from the initial trial to a subscription of Network Edge. You will be able to select to transition to normal subscription pricing after your free trial ends.
1.6 Device Recovery
You will be able to recover your virtual device in the event of any crashes/failures for users to be able to manually redeploy from the portal.
